Prologue: Welcome to the Discover Your Life With Breath As Medicine Course
Free PreviewThank you for choosing to take this online course. This course originally aired live as a 6-part Webinar Series in March of 2020 entitled, “Breath As Medicine for Aging and Active Adults.” The series, and the presenters, received rave reviews, so we decided to make it available as an online course. We have added over 2 hours of additional bonus video material, as well.
For starters, begin by clicking here to watch a short Breathing Session with Ed Harrold.
This video above is a recording of a tele-health breathing session delivered by Ed Harrold, the author of this course, to one of his client corporations. It is just one example of a service you will be able to provide once you have completed this course. So, after taking this session, how do you feel? Ready for more?
The course consists of the prologue, six individual lessons, and an epilogue giving you direction on what to do next. Each lesson consists of a lecture presentation of approximately 60-75 minutes in duration, and it begins with a breath “workout” to get you focused, centered, and ready to engage. Additionally, each lesson provides bonus video material not included in the original webinar series.
Upon completing a lesson, be sure to hit the “Complete Lesson” button at the bottom of the lesson page. If you need to leave the course, and come back to it at a later time, the system will remember which lesson you have completed, and which lesson you should next complete. Hitting the “Complete Lesson” button will also advance you to the next lesson.
At the end of each lesson, there is a quiz provided to help you determine if you’ve mastered the material well enough to proceed to the next lesson. These quizzes are not mandatory in order to move from one lesson to the next. They are simply there to help you prepare for the optional competency assessment (i.e., final exam) that is provided at the end of Lesson 6, the passing of which provides you with a Certificate of Completion for the course.
Continuing Education
If you do not seek continuing education credits (CECs) from the completion of the course, you can simply review the course material, at your leisure. There is no need to take the optional competency assessment given at the end of Lesson 6.
If you wish to obtain continuing education hours specifically for the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), this course is approved to provide 6 continuing education credits for that organization. Specifically, in order to obtain these CECs, you will need to achieve a score of 80% or higher on competency assessment given at the end of Lesson 6. Once that assessment has been passed, you will be issued a Certificate of Completion for this course, showing the necessary CEC provider information.
Most industry organizations from whom you might consider petitioning to receive credits will likely require the passing of some sort of quiz or exam with online education. Therefore, all learners of this course are highly encouraged to take the assessment at the end of Lesson 6, so that you may receive continuing education from your certifying organization.
And now, take a deep breath, and begin . . .
