Early diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease is imperative in the attempt to retard or slow the disease progression. Signs of early diagnosis will be discussed but the focus of the webinar will be addressing gait patterning, speech, coordination, large muscular involvement, repeated movement, intentional thinking, etc. Parkinson’s Disease presents itself differently but physical activity is the best medicine for those afflicted.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Dr. Wendy A. Williamsons holds a PhD in Health and Human Performance (Dissertation: Low Back Pain). She holds multiple specialty certifications, including Medical Exercise Specialist, and Corrective Exercise Specialist.

She is the owner of Williamson Wellness, LLC (Professional Fitness Coach) where she specializes in post-rehabilitation training, ie: musculo-skeletal (orthopedic) conditions, neurological conditions (including Parkinson’s disease), lower back pain and sciatica.

Wendy is one of the industry’s most recognized and respected training consultants. She is a presenter at national conferences, and author for several national publications
